Argentine motorcycling was shaken by the news of the serious accident suffered by Lorenzo Somaschini in Brazil. Last Friday, the 9-year-old driver was participating in a practice session ahead of the fourth stage of the Honda Junior 160 Cup at the Interlagos Autodrome in the city of São Paulo when he suffered a fall.
On Sunday afternoon, the Brazilian SuperBike organization provided new information about the young man’s health status. “Somaschini survived more than 48 hours after the accident occurred and his health did not worsen, remaining stable and with controlled vital signs.. We are waiting for news about Lolo’s hopeful recovery,” the brief medical report quoted.

The accident occurred on Friday, on the first day of activity ahead of the competition. According to the organization of the event, Somaschini suffered the fall while driving around the curve. Pinheirinho of the legendary São Paulo route and was quickly transferred to the local hospital where he remained in the intensive care unit.
“As soon as he fell at the exit of Pinheirinho, the pilot was quickly treated on the spot by the ICU medical team and ambulance. Born on July 17, 2014, Lolo became passionate about motorcycling. Her father gave her a mini motorcycle when she was 4 years old and there she began to develop in the activity. His debut had occurred on April 13 in the national SuperBike in Buenos Aires during the Argentine Speed Motorcycle Championship.
