New military maneuvers in the Falkland Islands will take place between June 23 and 29, and will involve personnel from the Infantry Company currently stationed at the British Mount Pleasant Complex, at intervals supported from the air.

The deployment of about one hundred fighters can be seen during exercises in Mare Harbour, (MPC port) between June 23 and 25, then around the capital Stanley between the 26 and 27, and finally in Goose Green on the 28 and June 29.

“The purpose of the maneuver is to contribute to the skills and improve the tactics of the infantry corps, as well as the permanent alert in the deterrence of the Falkland Islands”

Therefore, the population of the Islands is asked not to be surprised by loud noises in the early morning, starting on June 24 between MPC and Mare Harbor, at the Beagle Bridge on June 26 and on the 28th at Goose Green. There will also be overflights in the morning and afternoon of the 24th, as well as between June 26th and 28th.

The exercise is part of the regular tests carried out in pursuit of the defense of the Islands.
