Pope Francis has donated a third ambulance to Ukraine, which will stop at the Central Hospital in the Zboriv district of the Ternopil region.

The medical vehicle will travel 3 thousand kilometers before being delivered to the Ukrainian authorities by the Apostolic Almoner.

Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who will also donate “a large quantity of essential and life-saving medications from the Vatican Pharmacy of the Agostino Gemelli Hospital” in Rome, indicated the Dicastery (Vatican Ministry) for the Service of Charity.

The ambulance will travel to an area where “numerous convoys arrive every day transporting civilians and soldiers forced to flee the border area with Russia, where the hostilities are the bloodiest” and will serve to “help the rescuers of the injured people.” , stated in a statement.

During his visit to Ukraine, Cardinal Krajewski’s eighth, a center for the “comprehensive, physical and psychological rehabilitation of those who have suffered war trauma” will also be inaugurated in the Roman Catholic diocese of Kamyanets-Podilskyy, in southeastern Ukraine. which will be named after Saint John Paul II.

“Care is offered not only to all those who have suffered wounds in battle, but also to their loved ones, wives and children, to support Ukrainian families in this dramatic time,” the Dicastery explained.

Third ambulance donated by Pope Francis
