Ombudsman guarantees animal welfare in Antioquia!

The Ombudsman’s Office, committed to the protection of all living beings, held two successful days of animal care in the municipalities of Santa Fe de Antioquia and San Pedro de los Milagros, in Antioquia.

These events, developed in conjunction with the Antioquia Health Section, the municipal mayor’s office and the Animal Welfare and Protection Committee, provided free veterinary medical care to nearly 200 animals, including dogs and cats.

The pets received services such as vaccination, vitaminization and deworming, which are essential actions to ensure their health and well-being. In addition, the owners of the animals were given advice on responsible ownership and animal care.

The Ombudsman’s Office reiterates its commitment to the protection of animals and works to guarantee their well-being throughout the national territory. Through these sessions, we seek to raise awareness in the community about the importance of responsible ownership and promote animal health as an essential factor for public health.
