The United Way Colombia Foundation, in alliance with Bayer, promotes a new initiative with the aim of comprehensively addressing the challenges of malnutrition and malnutrition during the first years of life, a critical period for childhood cognitive, physical and emotional growth.

The initiative includes the co-creation of a digital guide on health and nutrition for early childhood. This guide will provide essential tools and knowledge to ensure a healthy future for children. This project not only seeks to inform, but also to transform the way communities integrate child nutrition, inspired by Bayer’s mission “Health for all, hunger for none.”

The guide contains thematic content and practical activities designed in collaboration with experts from Colombia, Costa Rica and Guatemala, belonging to the entities linked to the project: Bayer SA, United Way Colombia Foundation, United Way Guatemala and the Crisálida International Foundation (Glasswing), as well as the community mothers of the Apoyo Foundation, from Soacha, Colombia.

“It is essential to integrate the wisdom and experience of those on the ground to create resources that truly resonate and are applicable at the local level,” said Cristina Gutiérrez de Piñeres, executive director of the United Way Colombia Foundation.

With the desire to reach more boys and girls, The project will provide a guide in digital format, including interactive components designed to promote the use of modern teaching and learning methodologies. The sustainability of the project is based on its digitalization, which facilitates greater reach and access possibilities.

The initiative, supported by the District Secretariat of Social Integration of Bogotá, has carried out content validations to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
