Ombudsman’s Office guarantees animal welfare in Antioquia!

The Ombudsman’s Office, committed to the protection of all living beings, carried out two successful days of animal care in the municipalities of Santa Fe de Antioquia and San Pedro de los Milagros, department of Antioquia.

These sessions, developed in coordination with the departmental health section, the municipal mayor’s office and the Animal Welfare and Protection Committee, provided free veterinary medical care to nearly 200 animals, including dogs and cats.

The pets received services such as vaccination, vitaminization and deworming, essential actions to guarantee their health and well-being. In addition, advice was provided to animal owners on responsible ownership and animal care.

The Ombudsman’s Office reiterates its commitment to the protection of animals and works to ensure their well-being throughout the country. Through these events, the aim is to raise awareness in the community about the importance of responsible ownership and promote animal health as an essential factor for public health.
