A few days ago, a complaint of alleged sexual abuse was made public, revealed by María Victoria Vives on the program “A La Tarde” on América TV. According to Vives, during a consultation for cosmetic surgery in June 2023, Dr. Gustavo Sampietro would have examined her and performed massages without saying a word, and later would have kissed her during a follow-up visit, all without her consent.
The complaint is filed in Court No. 57 for violation of Law 26,485, presented to the Domestic Violence Office. Vives explained that she decided to report after careful reflection and after learning of similar cases from her friends.
In response to this accusation, Dr. Gustavo Sampietro’s response came through a brief and forceful statement sent by his spokesmen: “In response to the false and insulting public statements made by Ms. Vives, spokesmen for Dr. Sampietro indicated that the doctor instructed his sponsoring attorney, Dr. Juan Manuel Dragani, to file a complaint for the crimes of slander and libel, as well as a civil action for damages. The same sources confirmed that the complaint is part of a malicious operation that seeks to discredit the career, reputation and image of the medical professional spanning more than 30 years.”
