The Cubadisco International Fair will take place from May 11 to 19 and will have a significant Colombian delegation that includes artists from various genres such as trova, urban rhythms, salsa and symphonic music.

More than a thousand rhythms accompany the regions of Colombia, whose music can be divided into five regions: the Pacific Coast, the Atlantic or Caribbean, the Andean, the Eastern Plains and the Amazon region.

A glimpse into the sound universe of the South American country comes across the drum rhythm of cumbia; the sound of the accordion that opens the way to some classic vallenatos; the drumbeat of Colombian salsa and the happy, partying rhythm of the joint.

In this amalgam, the fusion of Caribbean rhythms that translate into Champeta, a genre of social and cultural connotation that originated in the marginal neighborhoods of Cartagena de Indias, stands out strongly.
