UNAM launches a free online nursing course with university validity. (Government of Mexico).

In Mexico facing a notable shortage of nursing professionals. According to figures presented by Rosa Amaryllis Záratedirector of the Faculty of Nursing and Obstetrics (FENO) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)the country has more than 350 thousand nurses and nurses. Of these, a 60% are graduated professionals while the rest 40% corresponds to technical and auxiliary personnel.

This number is insufficient when compared with the health care needs of the Mexican population, which exceeds 126 million inhabitants.
