Sergio Vega moved all of Colombia, after using different social networks to spread the complex state of health of his wife, Paula Durán, a Colombian who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in the United States.
The man from Huila, although he is very active on digital platforms, had not spoken publicly regarding what happened to his wife. However, he broke his silence a few days ago in the middle of a podcast and told, for the first time, his truth about what happened.
“No one can imagine what I experienced, I was alone in the United States. My wife was fighting for her life in a room, my newborn son was fighting for life, and outside I had two girls waiting for me. “I had to be in three places at the same time, and without being able to work”he initially stated.
Then, he added, through tears: “All I did was fight for my family and I never wanted to profit from the situation. I was fighting for my family, we were fighting a war against an enemy that you cannot imagine. I did not suffer it firsthand, but I saw firsthand how it consumed my wife’s life. I just acted on instinct.”
Sergio also referred to his friction with the Colombian’s mother, Iris Camargo, and confessed that they currently have a very good relationship. He even pointed out that they are in harmony and that they have seen each other on different occasions.
Regarding his new relationship, the man expressed in the podcast that everything is a process and emphasized that as time goes by he heals even more. Vega stressed that he will never forget Paula and that the way to show her love is to raise her children.
“She is another angel that God put in my path. She came into my life last year, in July, and we started talking. We established a very beautiful friendship and I told him my story. I admire her a lot, she has earned a very important space in my life and in my heart. It has given me a lot of tranquility and peace. The theme of improvement has been instilled in me a lot,” said the man from Huila.
It is worth remembering that Sergio Vega dedicated some heartfelt words to María Alejandra Salinas León, with whom he has lived wonderful moments. In addition, he uploaded a small photo gallery with the young woman, who is from the municipality of Pitalito, Huila.
