The model and singer Cassie Ventura She declared for the first time in public after the release of a 2016 video showing her then-partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, physically attacking her in a hotel. The images, obtained by cnnrevealed a violent episode that took place in the hallway of a hotel in Los Angeles.

Surveillance footage, dated March 5, 2016, captured Combs punching and kicking Ventura. The music mogul wore only a white towel while he attacked his girlfriend. He was also seen pushing and dragging the singer, as well as throwing an object forcefully at her.

The brutal attack coincides with the moments described by Ventura in a federal lawsuit filed against Diddy in November 2023, a process that closed with an out-of-court agreement. The rapper, until the video was published, had always denied having hit Cassie.

On May 23, a week after the clip was released to the press, Ventura published a message on Instagram in which he thanked for the solidarity received and called attention to domestic violence.

Thank you for all the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have not yet met,” Combs’ ex-girlfriend wrote. “The outpouring of affection has created a space for my past self to feel safe now, but this is just the beginning.”

Cassie went on to highlight the effect of an atmosphere of constant aggression. “Domestic violence is THE problem. “He broke me down into someone I never thought I would be,” she stated. “With a lot of hard work, today I am better, but I will always be recovering from my past”.

In his statement, he also urged those still living in fear to seek support. “My only request is that EVERYONE opens their hearts to believe in the victims from the beginning.. It takes a lot of courage to tell the truth in a situation where you feel helpless,” Ventura explained. “I lend my hand to those who still live in fear. Reach out to your friends, don’t isolate yourself. “No one should carry this weight alone.”

Last Sunday, two days after the episode of violence came to light, Sean Combs apologized on his social networks. However, he avoided mentioning Cassie Ventura’s name.

“It’s so hard to reflect on the darkest moments in your life, but sometimes you have to,” Combs said in his statement. “I was knackered, I hit rock bottom, but there are no excuses. “My behavior in that video is inexcusable.” He added that he always was and continues to be “disgusted” by his actions.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I am disgusted. I was upset then when I did it. I am disgusted now,” she stated in the recording.

The rapper broke his silence on social media and published a video on Instagram apologizing for everything that happened in the images that showed him violating his ex-partner.

Diddy’s stance did not convince Cassie’s attorney, Meredith Firetog, who said, “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt.”

When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested his victims were seeking payment.. “The fact that he was only forced to ‘apologise’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his dishonest words,” the lawyer said.

Combs is also involved in six other civil lawsuits, five of which include allegations of sexual assault. One of these cases was filed against his son, Christian Combs.

Additionally, authorities searched Combs’ properties on March 25, 2024 as part of a federal investigation by the Department of Homeland Security into human trafficking and related crimes. Despite the allegations, Diddy and her attorneys have denied all allegations against him.
