A few weeks ago, the world of streaming surprised us with the arrival of Godzilla Minus Onethe new movie about the huge Japanese monster that has raised an impressive figure of 115 million dollars Worldwide. Unfortunately, Prime Video only released it for its users in Japan on May 3, leaving the rest of the markets eager and impatient to see it in their catalog as soon as possible.
The film is set in 1945, in the final stage of World War IIand shows the fight to survive in a Japan that is absolutely devastated for said conflict. The plot follows Koichi Shikishima, a Japanese pilot who abandons his mission and lands on Odo Island, where he comes face to face with a mutant dinosaur: Godzilla, a powerless monster that unleashes destruction and which will be difficult to defeat, since any attack causes it to regenerate and become even more powerful.

Well, the most popular streaming service on the planet has overtaken Amazon’s platform to the right, releasing it by surprise last weekend, specifically Saturday, June 1. Since that day, Godzilla Minus One is available to all users with Netflix subscriptionwhich you can enjoy during 125 minutes of the science fiction film written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki (Parasite, Stand by Me Doraemon).

Godzilla Minus One was the brand new winner of the Oscar for ‘Best Visual Effects’ this same year, considering it the best kaiju film to date. And we don’t say it, the review website Rotten Tomatoes says it, where it gets a perfect score: 98% positive reviews by professionals in the sector and the general public, who agree on the excellence of the film.
