The merchant took advantage of an oversight on the part of the criminals to leave them locked up, without the slightest possibility of reacting.
Every day we observe cases of thefts and robberies in the different cities of Colombia that keep citizens in fear. Criminals have used any type of tricks to put merchants and pedestrians in check, whoGiven the lack of security, they are looking for a way to confront this scourge.
One of these cases occurred in the city of Cali, where a merchant and manager of a sports store was assaulted by two thieves who intimidated him with a firearm, howeverhis cunning not only thwarted the robbery, but could also have contributed to the capture of the individuals.
In the images spread through social networks, one of the individuals can be seen posing as a customer of the sports store. He looks and checks a shirt while the victim asks him the size. At that moment, another subject enters the premises and points a gun at him. They intimidate him and ask him to stay still because otherwise they would shoot him.
Subsequently, the subject who posed as a customer takes several items of clothing and holds them in his hands. The other thief searched the merchant and stripped him of his belongings. What the criminals never thought was that while they were looting the store, the merchant realized that he could maneuver against his executioners.
The victim was in a chair and quickly ran to the exit of the premises, jumped and hung from the fence, which he lowered in a matter of seconds and from the outside he adjusted it to lock the criminals in. The two thieves tried to climb the fence again but were unable to do so. Once the gate was opened, the merchant had returned with a police officer who captured the thieves. The event was so curious that some Internet users described it as an act, however, others praised the merchant’s brave attitude and called him “genius.”
