He Summer Game Fest 2024 is being celebrated these days, and although there are names that have arrived by surprise and others that will probably do so soon, there are some that had already confirmed their presence. One of them is Dune: Awakening the long-awaited MMORPG set on Arrakis developed by Funcom, responsible for Conan Exiles. Geoff Keighley’s ceremony has been the setting chosen to show a new and spectacular gameplay.
Dune: Awakening will tell an original story in which Atreides and Harkonnen face each other again, which presents a spectacular graphic section thanks to the benefits of Unreal Engine 5.2. The title inherits some mechanics from Conan Exiles, because beyond betting on an accentuated narrative load, players will have to deal with the difficulties of the desert: dehydration, extreme heat, sand storms and, of course, all kinds of hostile threats.
