Second parts never was good. That is what the members of Judas Priest. And since KK Downing After he left the band in 2011, the guitarist’s chances of a return have been minimal. In fact, Downing’s own statements have always been against a return to the English band.
However, in a recent interview on German radio station WDR Rockpalast (via Blabbermouth), KK Downing, jokingly, dismissed the essential condition for him to return to Judas Priest. Would you accept an invitation from your former teammates? This is what the artist responded.
“Well, let me see the check. It would have to be very, very big. I am not happy. I am happy. I humbly approached the guys a couple of years ago and said, ‘Look, what do you think about me coming back? You’re thinking about being a foursome and doing things.’ And they said, ‘No.’ And that’s it. It’s closure I guess – which is sad”Downing joked, making it clear that it is not something that can happen.
For his part, the artist regretted the bad relationship that exists. Something that does not seem to have affected Priest’s continuity: “Yes, it’s all a bit strange and I don’t understand it. Obviously, the fans seem to understand it, but I don’t know if they understand the details, really.”
Everything indicates that a return is completely impossible. What’s more, a few months ago, the bassist Ian Hill was asked if he was still in contact with Downing and if he would ever consider working with KK again. Hill was very forceful in his response, closing the door completely.
“I think it has already gone too far. I gave her a couple of chances to basically say hello, and she blanked me. So He won’t have another chance. It’s a shame how it ended. But things are what they are.”He said Judas Priest bassist.
