Chester Cathedral was the perfect setting for the big wedding of the year in the United Kingdom. The Duke of Westminster and godson of King Charles, Hugh Grosvenor (33), and Olivia Henson (31) said yes after three years of dating. The commotion caused by his wedding, held on Friday the 7th, was more than expected: he is the richest man in Great Britain under the age of 40, with a fortune estimated at 14 billion euros. THE BOYFRIENDS ARRIVE

The entrance to the cathedral was decorated by the Flower and Press company with roses, philadelphus and campanulas with foliage from the Grosvenor family estate. Birch trees were placed inside. Hugh arrived accompanied by his bestman aboard a green Land-Rover Defender and was greeted with applause from the public behind the police cordon. Natalia, the mother of her boyfriend and Dowager Countess of Westminster, entered with three of her daughters: Lady Tamara, Lady Edwina (goddaughter of Diana of Wales) and Lady Viola. The bride made her grand appearance in a 1930 Bentley and when she got out she revealed her beautiful dress made by British designer Emma Victoria Payne, which Olivia completed with the veil that her great-great-grandmother had worn in 1880. The two-meter detachable train and The Fabergé Myrtle tiara gave the finishing touch to the bridal look worthy of a fairy tale.

THERE WAS A PARTY IN THE FIELD

After the ceremony and becoming husband and wife, the Duke and Duchess of Westminster headed to the wedding party. The chosen location was Eaton Hall – the same setting where the engagement took place – a large country manor house belonging to the groom’s family, located two kilometers from the town of Eccleston and surrounded by 4,000 hectares, reminiscent of a French château. . One of the guests spoke with HELLO! and some details of the banquet came to light. In addition to a live orchestra, the couple had a sculpture of the mythical Big Ben made for the setting and there was a fireworks show as a finishing touch. Among other particular details, guests could not enter with their cell phones and had a taxi service available to return home. As a souvenir, the couple gave them, among other things, a drawing of the family farm. “We all took beautiful gifts that included a hand-painted map of the Eaton Hall grounds,” they told HELLO!

Radiant with happiness, the bride and groom – she now without the veil and the detachable two-meter train – enter the country house where they celebrated the great banquet “escorted” by their guests.
