The program

In the first part of the concert you can hear the Three Studies from Couperin of Thomas Adesa masterful demonstration of orchestration and meticulous style, which subtly bring to life the essence of the composer’s intentions, and the Piano Concerto No. 23 of Mozartwith Tom Borrow as a soloist.

The second part of the concert brings together the composers George Bizet and Reynaldo Hahnwho also lived and worked in Paris, being students of Charles Gounod at the city Conservatory. Bizet was only 17 years old when he finished his Symphony no. 1 and never allowed it to be published. The piece was discovered after his death and premiered eighty years after its composition. On the other hand, the Ouverture Mozart de Hahn tells the story of Mozart’s fictional adventures in the city of lights. His work, along with the others on the program, evoke the charm and vitality of the big city that Mozart experienced during his visits.
