Billboard Latin Women in Music 2024 breaks audience records

Billboard’s second annual Latina Women in Music special broke ratings records, reports Telemundo, where the two-hour show aired on Sunday (June 9). Marking an increase of +541% over the 2023 show with 61 million interactions on television, digital, Peacock and social networks. The 2024 edition obtained a total of 109.6 million minutes of video viewed, an increase of 20% compared to 2023.

The broadcast of the gala on Telemundo was the most watched program on Spanish television in its time slot from 9 to 11 p.m., with an average of 192,000 adults ages 18 to 49 and 897,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. Overall, the show outperformed Univision by +43% among adults 18-49 and +65% among total viewers. Additionally, the linear broadcast reached 1.5 million total viewers, a 14% increase over the previous year.

This year, Karol G is celebrated as Woman of the Year, Gloria Estefan with the Legend award, Camila Cabello with the Global Impact award, Ana Bárbara with the Musical Career award, Ángela Aguilar with the Musical Dynasty award, Kali Uchis as Rising Star, Kany García with the Spirit of Change award, and La India with the Pioneer award.
