Julian from Sweden opens his own playground at the age of 3

Prince Julian of Sweden, only three years old, has already served as host in what has been his first official event. The little one, youngest son of Princes Carl Philip and Sofia of Sweden, visited Getterön, in the municipality of Varberg, to inaugurate a children’s park.

The enclosure is his baptism gift, with which the population of Varberg presented the little one, who is also Duke of Halland, after his birth. With a bird theme, the prince played enthusiastically in his new park, which he inaugurated by climbing on the swings and an eagle-shaped slide, which the prince named “Charlie Örn.”

The prince was delighted at this first official act that he carried out when he was only three years old, accompanied by his parents, who gladly received the town’s baptismal gift to the little one. The family also had the opportunity to become familiar with the place; contemplating the nature reserve and learning more about the fauna of the place, specialized in birds.

After the inauguration, the Naturum Getterön reserve is now open to the public. The place is rated as one of the best wetlands for birds in all of Europe, and in addition to protecting the fauna, they also have a complete educational program for the little ones, exhibitions and guided excursions.

Prince Alexander also opened his own park at the time.

In the surroundings of the place, the great Fågelbacka project is underway, which will be the new natural excursion destination and which they have managed to recover from the place, after years as a landfill.

Prince Julian, born in 2020, arrived with an important change for the children of the middle son of King Carl Gustav of Sweden: he is the only one who did not receive the official title of His Royal Highness after his birth. A change that not only applied to his children, but the children of his sister, Princess Madalena, and Chris O’Neill were also affected: Leonor (10), Nicolás (9) and Adriana (6 ).

“Today, the King announced the decision that our children will no longer hold the position of Royal Highness. We see this as positive since Alejandro and Gabriel will have freer options in life,” wrote Prince Carl Philip, following his father’s decision. “They will retain their princely titles and their dukedoms, Södermanland and Dalarna, which we value and are proud of. “Our family has strong connections to both landscapes and we remain committed there.”

Prince Julian was born with a different title than his two older brothers

Last Saturday the princes surprised their followers with a small gift: a new family portrait to celebrate summer.

The couple shared a nice snapshot through their Instagram account, in which you can see the couple and their three children: princes Alexander (7), Gabriel (5) and Julian (3). The royal captioned the photo “Sommarhälsningar från oss,” which translates to “Summer greetings from us.”
