William Mebarakfather of Shakirahas been given high this Saturday from the clinic in the Caribbean city of Barranquilla where he was admitted more than two weeks ago for an alleged respiratory complicationaccording to local media.
The father of the Colombian artist was admitted andl June 6 at the Iberoamerica clinic, which has remained hermetic in recent weeks about Mebarak’s health, 92 years.

Although neither Iberoamerica cliniccare center where Shakira’s father was, nor official spokespersons for the artist have commented on the matter, different media in the city reported that the reason why the writer and merchant of Lebanese origin had to be hospitalized was a pneumonia.
It has also been media outlets such as ‘El Tiempo’ and ‘Caracol Radio’ that now claim that Mebarak has already returned to his residenceafter having passed through the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
William Mebarak Chadid, who was the first representative of Shakira when the singer was just a teenager, is an American born in New York and of Lebanese origin, who emigrated with his family to Colombia at the age of five.
