Some never before seen images of John Lennon and Yoko Onofilmed during John’s first major art exhibition in 1968, have been revealed in the song’s new video “You Are Here (Ultimate Mix)”. This launch coincides with the next release on the market of “Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection” on July 12.

The exhibition, titled “You Are Here (To Yoko From John Lennon, With Love)”, took place at the Robert Fraser Gallery in London and was captured on film by William Wareing and Dick Lorriemore. The images show a young 27-year-old John and his team preparing the inauguration, highlighting the simplicity and depth of Lennon’s art.

“It consisted of a bare gallery and a large round white canvas on which I had written: ‘You are here’ and I dedicated it to Yoko,” Lennon recalled. The exhibition also included several boxes for charitable donations, symbolizing his artistic and philanthropic vision.

The restored video, part of the Lenono Film Archives, offers an intimate look at Lennon and Ono, dressed in white, and guests, including key figures such as Derek Taylor and Richard Hamilton. One of the most memorable moments was the release of 365 helium balloons, each with a message inviting whoever found a balloon to write to John.

John Lennon explained: “‘You Are Here’ is more than just a joke. People read it and realize it’s true. Yes, I’m here, they think. And so are these other people. We’re all here together.” This mindfulness mantra reflected his philosophy at the time.

The song “You Are Here”, written by Lennon about his love for Yoko, has been remixed by Sean Ono Lennon and Paul Hicks, and stands out for its renewed clarity and depth. The song, now available for streaming, is the second to be released from the collection “Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection.”
