Original Harry Potter cover sold for nearly $2 million at auction

The watercolor illustration from the first edition of the Harry Potter saga was auctioned for US$1.9 million at Sotheby’s auction house. The work of artist Thomas Taylor was created in 1997 for the release of the first book, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” The auction of the work thus becomes the most valuable work of art sold at auction, according to Sotheby’s.
Credit cards have losses of 40%
The Fed released its annual stress test results yesterday in which it singled out credit cards as a key driver of a larger decline in capital than last year. Ally Financial Inc.’s card portfolio was the worst performer in the hypothetical recession, with an expected loss rate exceeding 40%. Amazon is looking for Spanish-speaking writers
Amazon is once again looking for Spanish-language writers for the 11th edition of its Prize
Amazon Storyteller Literary Award for Spanish-language authors. Authors who wish to participate must publish their unpublished works in Spanish, with a minimum length of 24 pages through the Kindle Direct Publishing tool, KDP, before August 31 of this year. The work must be published in digital format and paperback, register the original version of the work in KDP Select and include the keyword “premioliterario2024” when uploading the book. (TA)
What should be the retirement age?

Stonehenge, a heritage in danger

The rise of the Chinese automotive market
A new report from consulting firm AlixPartners says Chinese automakers will continue to expand rapidly outside their home country to reach 33% of the global auto market share by 2030.
