A few months ago, Maria Becerra and her partner, J Rei, embarked on a motorhome adventure along the routes of Córdoba. For a week, they shared moments of her nomadic life on social media, showing a more personal side of the singer, away from the stage, enjoying the natural wonders and simplicity of life on the road.
During the trip, Maria posted a video showing the inside of his temporary home and the step-by-step of what he called “Route fried cakes.” The recipe included eggs – an ingredient questioned by some of her followers – and a sugar coating, which also generated mixed opinions due to the quantity.
Now the artist was in Spain, where she was invited to the program The resistance. There they asked him to prepare this typical Argentine dish live. In full promotion of his tour through Europe, he did not hesitate to share the family recipe.
“We are going to do something traditional Argentine: fried cakes, do you know them?” asked the presenter David Broncano, who showed curiosity. “I am the queen of fried cakes”, He said with humor, explaining that he had proclaimed himself as such. He proceeded to fry the cakes, explaining that “this is done barehanded”, as he placed the disks of dough in an oil that initially did not appear to be very hot, as the panelists had warned him. Despite that, she achieved her goal and was praised in the studio, where everyone was waiting to test the result with curiosity.
Despite everything, she emphasized that this is how they eat. “Cheers with fried cakes,” commented the young Argentine and the presenter proceeded to try them. Her response was direct: “It’s tasty, but it’s obvious, just flour with sugar”he said, which caused an obvious look of displeasure in the Girl from Argentina.
