This Saturday, February 24, three violent deaths were reported in Medellín, one of which left a foreign citizen as the victim.
Information from the authorities indicates that a American citizen, identified as Josué Cardona Palacio, was murdered in the middle of a fight in the exclusive El Poblado neighborhood.
The report from the Information System for Security and Coexistence (SISC) revealed that the incident occurred around 9:30 at night and that the victim received several wounds with sharp weapons which caused his death.
“According to field work, the victim was injured in the middle of a fight at a residence, As a result of this incident, the victim’s partner was also injured and two people were captured.“says the report.

The authorities indicated that the facts and those responsible for this crime are the subject of investigation.
With these cases, the capital of Antioquia reached 25 homicides so far in February and 46 in 2024.
So far this year, 12 foreigners have died in Medellín due to different circumstances.
According to data from the Mayor’s Office, three cases have been suicides, five deaths related to an illness, three the motive has yet to be clarified and one case was classified as homicide.
