In addition, the communicator highlighted the social impact of the extra cash service in warehouses and markets in Las Tunas, which during these three months collected about 74 million 556 thousand pesos for this concept, in more than 26 thousand operations.

“We continue with the guarantees of monetary withdrawal services according to the availability of cash; especially in the main municipality there is a tendency to growth due to the deficit in ATMs and the ease that shopping and gastronomic centers provide for this activity” Nieves Fournier emphasized.

The use of QR bar codes in establishments that belong to the GEC began in 2021 in the province, and was consolidated on a larger scale during 2023 with the measures to bankarize operations in the Cuban economy. (ACN)
