The Member of the Secretariat of the Cuban Workers’ Union in Las Tunas, Danuris Ortiz Velázquez, when addressing the workers, distinguished efficiency in economic indicators, minimizing risks in decision-making, for the best use of material resources, financial and human, in the face of the negative impact of the intensified blockade of the United States Government.
He highlighted the awards within the awards system, where 65 workers received the Elpidio Sosa González Distinction, 10 the Jesús Menéndez medal, 1 the Labor Prowess medal, Special Award from the Association of Communicators, Quality Leader in the province along with the Cadillac Hotel and the Distinction of the Ministry for 40 years of service provision.
The Secretary of the Union Bureau of the Hotel Las Tunas, Silvio Oduardo Girón, maintained that it is meritorious to raise the banner on the days of Girón and on the day for International Workers’ Day, but that the most important thing is to continue acting with creative resistance in satisfying customer demand.
In this context, the General Secretary of the Hotel and Tourism Union in Las Tunas, Maribel Rivera Ordoñe, announced that the Las Tunas Hotel Collective will lead the block in the Plaza de la Revolución, Vicente García, this May 1st.
In the midst of applause, songs and commitments, the group of workers at the Las Tunas Hotel received the national Vanguard Flag this Wednesday from the Coordinator of Programs and Objectives of the Government Council, Oleidis Sauceso Licea, and the General Secretary of the Central of Cuban Workers (CTC) in Las Tunas, Odalis Batista Pérez.
