There are several preventive actions that, from March to date, the Public Services Company of the District of Santa Marta has carried out, in the public lighting infrastructure, fields and parks of the three towns; As well as, in rural areas of the District they were the prioritized areas.
During the conference, Essmar cleaned and painted poles, verified electrical registers, connections, pedestals and channeling of the infrastructure, all of this with the aim of providing a better lighting service in public spaces, thus improving the perception of security. and the living conditions of the inhabitants and visitors of Santa Marta.
For this, it is important to highlight the articulated work that has been carried out together with the District Mayor’s Office; specifically, with the Santa Marta Urban Development Company -EDUS-, regarding technical and regulatory support for the advancement of infrastructure works in terms of public lighting; Among these, there is the Camellón of the Historic Center (Bahía de Santa Marta) and that of El Rodadero; which, after several approaches and communications to facilitate its delivery, has not materialized, thus postponing its subsequent administration, payment of energy consumed and maintenance of the luminaires, in accordance with the regulations established for these cases.
