“We are going to invest heavily in the technological development of the province of Santa Fe”

With the aim of promoting scientific, technical and industrial culture throughout the territory of the Santa Fe province, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, and the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Erica Hynes, presented this Monday the Science Code program.

This is a program that was created with the objective of facilitating the diagnosis and supporting the development of territorialized strategic objectives and plans, linked to the educational, productive and cultural profile of each locality. Through this initiative, a network of actions will be created and consolidated, linking science clubs, technological colonies, scientific Olympiads, technological poles and centers, through the creation and consolidation of a network of territorial actions.

Science, technology and innovation

During the activity, carried out at the Río Paraná Aquarium in Rosario, Pullaro stated that “the challenges that the province of Santa Fe has are immense, but we have all the tools to be able to carry them forward. For this reason, today we are launching this program that has to do with betting on science, technology, creativity and working together with schools and universities. We understand that this is fundamental and will give our province all the potential it has.”

In that sense, the Governor highlighted that “in addition to the countryside and industry, the province of Santa Fe has universities and the coordination with them is what will allow us to move forward. We have a lot to do, that’s why we are betting on this and we are going to invest heavily in the technological development of the province of Santa Fe. We are going to work to move Santa Fe forward and that means solving the underlying problems we have.”

“This program has to do with the productive matrix that encompasses our province. Our province is the countryside and the industry, but it is also the science, technology and universities that work together with the private sector to move forward every day. That strength that the province of Santa Fe has today puts us in a privileged place based on the needs of the country and the needs of the world, which has to do with what we are and what we produce,” he added.

“For that we have to be very innovative, creative and have State policies to be clear about where Santa Fe is going, what the priorities are and meet the objectives we have,” concluded the governor.

Also present at the activity were the Minister of Health, Silvia Ciancio; of Culture, Susana Rueda; in addition to legislators and councilors.

Knowledge producers

Meanwhile, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, highlighted that the objective is that “science, technology and innovation underpin the productive matrix of our province, so that our value chains, which are many and very diverse, feel a clear accompaniment and have a direction to aim towards.”

Finally, the minister stated that “the Government of the province of Santa Fe is creating an action plan for productive development and in this the support of science is essential. To grow in the domestic market and in exports, we must innovate. There we return to science as a State policy, which supports production, in current issues and to work on new technologies. We are convinced that we are on the right path, let us bet on science and technology and, fundamentally, on their connection with the entire productive network.”

Along these lines, the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Erica Hynes explained that “Santa Fe is a community of knowledge; Not only do we export and produce grains, food, appliances, footwear, clothing, we also produce ideas, applications and technological solutions. “We produce many solutions that go beyond the application of knowledge.”

“We are producers of new knowledge and we want to bring them together and network them. We need a community that is active, that is creative and that produces content that circulates throughout the province and that is high-quality content that we can also share with other provinces in the country,” Hynes remarked.
