According to the most recent report of the National Water Commission (WITH WATER), the main dams of San Luis Potosi operate for below 30% of its capacity.
Since October, the authority has issued recommendations to 58 municipalities to address the impacts of drought in the region. At the moment, 41 municipalities face an exceptional drought.
The other municipalities are experiencing drought conditions that vary between extreme and moderate.
What is the capacity of the San Luis Potosí dams?
According to the most recent CONAGUA report, the San José dam presents a level of 7.7%with a total of 400 thousand cubic meters (m3) stored. The prey follows The tollwhich is located at 4.9%with a current capacity of 331 thousand thousand m3.
