Two companies were honored with the Honor Medal for Merit and the Carlos E. Pinzón Order of 2023 – Manizales Chamber of Commerce for Caldas

The Chamber of Commerce of Manizales por Caldas (CCMPC) carried out the ceremony to present the Medal of Honor for Merit and the Order Carlos E. Pinzón 2023, awarded by the board of directors of the entity to companies that stand out for their great value that they represent for the economic and social development of the territory.

The ceremony was held at the head ofthe president of the board of directors of the CCMPC, Juan Manuel Pérez Saldías; the second vice president, Juan Camilo Restrepo Soto; the executive president, Lina María Ramírez Londoño and the mayor of Manizales, Jorge Eduardo Rojas, was also present.

During the event, special recognition was given to two companies: Unitécnica; which was worthy of the Carlos E. Pinzón Order 2023 for contributing to the development of the region through quality education and its firm commitment to training upright, suitable, effective people, leaders in business and social processes, and the Luker Foundation, with the 2023 Honor Medal of Merit for its 30 years of uninterrupted work in the promotion of social innovation solutions for the development and equity of the territory, which focuses its efforts on challenges such as: child malnutrition and active and healthy aging, poverty, education, entrepreneurship, among others.

During the evening, Germán Prieto Trujillo, Head of Research and Development at Unitécnica Manizales, expressed: “We feel very honored with this recognition from the CCMPC, it is an honor to receive it because we have worked for many years. I also congratulate the Luker Foundation to whom tribute was also paid.”

On the other hand, Pablo Jaramillo Villegas, manager of the Luker Foundation, spoke about the event: “we are receiving a medal and for me it is very honorable to receive this recognition, in general for the Foundation and the role it plays in the city. We have been very fortunate to have programs that have been highlighted nationally and internationally for their performance, but a distinction for what we do that comes from an entity as important as the Chamber that is our partner in so many city initiatives, well, I simply full of pride.”

For the Chamber of Commerce of Manizales for Caldas it is an honor to pay these tributes to people, businessmen and entities that stand out and leave their mark on our territory.
