However, the country does not actively participate in the production of console games, since it only represents 1.5% of this world market. The government seeks for South Korea to become a giant in the gaming industry during the stipulated period.
For this reason, they expressed that they will provide their support to local companies to collaborate with large companies in the console gaming industry, such as sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. In addition, they committed to supporting studios that develop independent games, in order to achieve a greater variety of titles.
