The Atlantic Football League presented its official ball

In an event led by President Francisco Sánchez, the Atlantic Football League presented this Thursday the official ball with which the Departmental Tournament is played.

Once again, the Sportik company is in charge of the design and manufacture of the ball. And as this year the League reaches its centenary, it improved the ball to provide more guarantees to the players in the matches.

“This alliance is very important for our coaches, because it seems little like a ball, but for them it is very important. We offer them the congratulations of having a ball of very good quality and at an affordable price for all clubs.”

Also present at the event were José María Reyes, treasurer of the League; Nidia Vergara, executive secretary of the entity, and the director of Sportik, Alex Blanco, who spoke about the characteristics of the ball.

“This is the fourth consecutive year that we have been working with the League and each year we have strived to improve. For this occasion we brought the leather from Germany. This is a laminated ball that does not come off, because we make it so that it resists the playing field of the fields where it is played in the Atlantic and on the Caribbean Coast. It has 8 pounds of pressure and a weight of 430 grams. Its circumference and all its details comply with everything required by FIFA,” Blanco explained.

The new ball will roll on the fields of Barranquilla and the municipalities of Atlántico this weekend in a new day of the Departmental League Tournament.
