Two explosive devices detonated in San José del Guaviare. The events occurred in different parts of the municipality and would reveal a possible plan by illegal groups to intimidate the community.

The first detonation occurred around 9:20 p.m. on April 25. In the sector known as Los Talleres, apparently, two individuals threw a grenade at a commercial establishment. That explosion, fortunately, only caused material damage and damage to the premises’ infrastructure.

Only 30 minutes had passed when the second explosion occurred. It was 9:50 at night when a man detonated a package in the central area of ​​the municipality.

The explosion left one person seriously injured who, until now, He is under medical observation. That attack, apparently, was aimed at a bank office and the Los Olivos funeral home.

The injured man, the authorities detailed, apparently would be related to the attack. The explosive detonated him before throwing it.

The Police indicated that they also managed to capture a man of foreign nationality who would be related to the first attack. He also revealed that they managed to intercept a suitcase full of explosives that was intended to be detonated via remote control and, thus, thwarted a third attack.

At night, audios also circulated on WhatsApp in which they invited the community not to leave their homes due to fear of new explosions. At the moment, no illegal armed group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
