The province of Tucumán has hundreds of corners to explore on a getaway and be surprised at every step. Without having to travel long distances, you can reach unique places, almost straight out of a fairy tale.
On this occasion we talk about Villa Nougués, Known as the “Switzerland of Tucumán” and it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in the province.
Is about one of the first summer towns in the province, emerged in 1899 with the impulse of the sugar engineer Luis Nougués, agroindustrial entrepreneur who arrived then to become governor of Tucumán.

Characteristics of this magical town
Following the top of Cerro San Javier towards the south, about 32 kilometers from San Miguel along Provincial Route 338, This site is accessed by car, bicycle, on foot, on horseback, dazzling you at every step with the wonderful vegetation and the imposing views of the city that can be seen there.
What characterizes Villa Nougués are its strong European style buildingseven more embellished by the lush vegetation that opens to its surroundings. Pine trees, palm trees, hydrangeas, violets, agapanthus and more grow in this microclimate region. As a result, an impressive postcard.

How to get to Villa Nougués?
To get there, visitors to Villa Nougués have two options. On the one hand, the first alternative isleaving from the provincial capital, Head towards Yerba Buena, take Aconquija Avenue and walk along it until you reach the “El Corte” Rotunda. Then continue along Provincial Route No. 338 to travel approximately 12 kilometers of mountainous route and end in the town of San Javier. There, the journey continues along the same route in a southerly direction for approximately 10 more kilometers until reaching Villa Nougués.
The second option is, also leaving from Yerba Buena, Take Avenida Solano Vera to then join Provincial Route No. 338 and continue along the latter for approximately 15 more kilometers.
