Two tennis players from the mainland got a place in the final of the ITF Cosat Copa AEROSPORT ‘Ibagué para todos’ international tournament.

For her part, María Camila Romero was able to beat Juliana Díaz in sets with partials of 6/4 and 6/3.

«I felt very good on the court, I have been playing solidly since Cundinamarca, hitting the ball with confidence. “Today I was able to take advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves and things went in my favor,” Romero commented after his victory.

«There were moments when I had to be aggressive and determined, especially in the face of my rival’s resistance. “I chose to be proactive and look for points, which turned out to be a successful strategy,” she added about his approach during the match.

The Tolima tennis player Santiago Segovia also obtained a place in the finals in this championship, by beating Felipe Buriticá with partials of 2/6, 6/3 and 6/4.

“The truth is, I am very happy for the result, for everything and what characterizes me is to never give up until the end even though I started by losing the first set, always until the last ball,” said the young athlete.

In the end, he mentioned that “The truth is that when I get into matches, sometimes it is difficult for me to analyze the opponent and the feelings, but always from a very young age, from a very young age I always love to go down and come back like my idol Rafael and The truth is that I always handle that very well and before when I lose, the spark lights up more and I no longer lose any points.”

This April 27, both athletes from Tolima will seek to be crowned champions and leave a mark in the ITF Cosat AEROSPORT Cup ‘Ibagué for all’ tournament.
