The problem with the situation is that, given that the control tower suffered damage, some arrangements need to be made that They could not be achieved because there is apparently an unsettled account between the two companies.

“Some repairs needed to be made and the ATP company did not allow Azteca to come in to do them because, apparently, there is money that has not been paid for the use of the physical facilities,” explained Córdoba. These differences led to an entire department being offline for 5 days.

What has the National Government done?

After four days without any connection, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTic) entered the situation to investigate what had happened. “In that consultation that MinTic made, we found out that there was a problem between financial companies,” explained the Governor.

Until yesterday, according to Córdoba, The Ministry generated a shock plan to restore the service. “What they did was identify which operator had the best reception, which was Movistar, and in this way they began to activate all the antennas to share the reception with the other operators,” he said.

Today the signals and service have been recovering, although as the Governor explains, it remains unstable.
