The anti-influenza campaign carried out by the Ministry of Health, called “Getting vaccinated hurts less than getting seriously ill,” reaches 34.65% coverage in the Los Ríos region.

The coverage is equivalent to 76,825 vaccinated people out of a total of 221,424 people that make up the target group in the region.

At the community level, Valdivia and Río Bueno show the lowest percentage of progress in this campaign with a 28.7% and a 21.5% respectively; while Máfil and Los Lagos are the communes that have better coverage with 54.5% and 55.3% of vaccinated people.

Given these data, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Health, Cristina Ojeda, made a new call to people to get vaccinated against this virus, especially people who are part of the risk groups who must be inoculated every year to acquire the necessary protection for their health. immune system.
