An unfortunate tragedy occurred on the Marginal del Llano road, at kilometer 65, in the La Curama sector, jurisdiction of Pore, Casanare. A couple traveling on a motorcycle collided head-on with a truck, leaving two fatalities.
The deceased woman was identified as Yelixa Laverde Goyeneche, who was traveling with her husband, Wilson Vargas Fernández, a caretaker at the Pore health center. Unfortunately, both lost their lives in the accident.
In addition, the couple’s daughter, a minor, approximately three years old, who was with them on the motorcycle, was seriously injured and was urgently sent to Yopal to receive medical attention.
The incident occurred when apparently the motorcycle on which the couple was traveling collided head-on with a White Toyota truck with UVL-566 plates. Even though the causes of this spectacular accident are unknown, the authorities will be responsible for clarifying this case.
Pore firefighters went to the scene to attend to the emergency and temporarily close the road north of Casanare.
