The professional soldier Guiner Kevim Noscue Largo was kidnapped in the last few hours, while traveling between Toribío and Tacueyó (Cauca). The Army confirmed the illegal retention of the uniformed man and requested his immediate release.

According to a press release from the institution, the soldier was off duty and, while traveling between the two municipalities of Cauca, he was apparently kidnapped by guerrillas from the FARC dissidents known as the Central General Staff.

The Army added that the incident was reported by a relative of the soldier, who said that he received a call from a person who identified himself as a member of that dissident group and warned him that his brother was kidnapped.

In the same press release released this Saturday by the Army’s Seventh Brigade, it is stated that this would be a “flagrant violation of human rights and infringement of international humanitarian law.”
