This is what the current progress of priority work and shore protection looks like.

Two main tasks are being carried out at this time in the project of the Los Cámbulos Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)with an investment of $7 thousand 219 million.

The actions
The first action has to do with a protective wall of the Chinchiná riverbed, which in turn will serve to protect the project lands. These activities, which began on March 12, are carried out through a agreement signed with Corpocaldaswith an investment that reaches $2 billion.
The other front, which began last week, has to do with the so-called priority works, which consist of guaranteeing stability, since Fypasa carried out several excavations and cuts of land that were not protected, without carrying out the stabilization or the corresponding anchors that they should have. The problem is that this can create risks in a place where several new constructions and housing projects are located.
Under these conditions, the objective is to address these slopes, whose investment is estimated at $5 thousand 219 million.
And the plant?
Regarding the construction of the Treatment Plant, the manager of Aguas de Manizales, Jorge Eliécer Rivillas, confirmed the need for carry out a technical, legal and financial update of the project to present a reformulation to the Ministry of Housing. This is expected to be done towards the second half of the year, with adjustments in designs and various financial scenarios.
Only there will it be possible to have an updated budget for the project, which was awarded in the administration of Carlos Mario Marín for a total of $146 thousand 946 million 700 thousand 372, including the construction, audit and monitoring component of the Ministry of Housing, City and Territory. Some projections indicate that this could already exceed the $230 billion57% more than expected in the Marín Mayor’s Office.
