April 29 is Animal Day and to celebrate it, the Municipality of San Miguel de Tucumán organized an event that will take place next Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in Plaza Urquiza.

During the day, rabies vaccination and deworming services will be offered; Pets can be adopted and there will be recreational activities, games and gift giving. Environmental awareness talks will also be held and an eco-exchange stand will be installed.

“We are preparing an extremely nice, family celebration to which the entire community is invited. It is going to be a very friendly event for the four-legged members of our family; There will be guests, raffles and awareness workshops,” explained the director of Animal Population of the Municipality, Mercedes Dabul.

“We are going to talk about caring for the health of people, pets and also the environment,” added the official. “On Animal Day, the surprise we have is that we are going to be presenting the mobile phones that will be touring the capital’s neighborhoods doing both sterilization campaigns and primary care,” Dabul anticipated. Then she recalled that the Municipality continues to offer services for pets at the Municipal Animal Sterilization Center (CEMA) that operates in San Cayetano and at the Municipal Animal Center (CIAM), at 1,600 Francisco de Aguirre Avenue.
