Two weeks ago, the workers at the El Castaño Clinic had gone on strike to demand the payment of their salaries arrears since February. The telegram continues to explain the situation they are going through: “Also, it is known to all that the “El Castaño” clinic has been carrying out measures to alleviate these effects in order to preserve sources of work without resenting the quality service that they are experiencing. is provided to patients. However, we find ourselves in a situation that makes it impossible, with the current cost vs. Performance values, the operational continuity of the clinic for external reasons that directly influence its economic and financial capacity. It is for all these reasons that we are obliged to inform you of the termination of the employment contract as of today for reasons not attributable to the company, in the terms of articles 243 and 247 of the employment contract law. .

The news had a strong impact on health workers, since negotiations were currently being held to pay the debts for the months of February and March and they did not expect to receive this news.
