A retired 70-year-old was found dead inside his home located in Cordova. According to the details that emerged, the man showed signs of having been beaten and a stab wound in the abdomen. Furthermore, several signs at the crime scene would indicate that there would have been a struggle between him and his attacker, but no one has been arrested for the crime.

The victim was identified as Pablo Moyano after his son asked the emergency services for help after finding him dead in his neighborhood home José Ignacio Díaz Third Section around noon on Saturday. The young man had entered the property when he came across the body of his father lying face up in the living room of the house.

Given the shock that the scene produced in him, he went to look for his cousin who lived in an apartment built on the same land. In this way, the woman entered her home and witnessed the same scenario, so they both decided to alert the Police about what had happened.

According to information published by ElDoce.tv, the police officers who showed up confirmed that the man was lying face up, had a stab wound in the abdomen and several signs of having been beaten. Likewise, the prosecutor was intervened Lourdes Quagliattibelonging to the District 2 Investigation Prosecutor’s Office, shift 1.

A kiosk operated at the home and, after a visual analysis of the crime scene, the authorities identified several bars of the bars that were damaged and the space was in disarray. There was even a chair near the window that had footprints on it, but the family members were unable to indicate whether material things were missing from the home.

This is not the first homicide of a retiree that was reported in Córdoba, because at the beginning of February the Justice Department opened a case to investigate the origin of the death of a 71-year-old man named Raul Peraltawho had been found beaten in the neighborhood of Alta Córdoba. The attack occurred during the early hours of last Christmas, when some neighbors reported that he was lying at the intersection of Pasaje Usandivaras and Tucumán.

Once the emergency medical services arrived, specialists indicated that the man had blows to the head that were compatible with bruises, hemorrhages and cerebral edema. For this reason, they transferred him to the Municipal Emergency Hospital and was subsequently referred to French Sanatoriumwhere he was hospitalized until he died on January 27.

Days after the death occurred, the relatives of the deceased filed a complaint for the incident to be investigated, because they noticed that a fanny pack in which he was allegedly carrying money was missing. Consequently, the District Prosecutor’s Office on duty No. 3, in charge of the fair prosecutor Silvana Fernandezordered that an autopsy be performed on the retiree’s body, at the same time that he authorized the personnel of the Police Robbery and Theft area to intervene in the case classified as “death of doubtful etiology.”

The experts reported that no images captured by security cameras in the area were found that could demonstrate that Peralta had a fanny pack. At the same time, they indicated that the presence of the alleged aggressors was not detected either, despite the fact that they recognized that the area is known for being a meeting point for a group of people who consumed illegal substances. However, those allegedly responsible for the attack have not yet been identified.

For this reason, the authorities explained that “whenever a death of doubtful etiology occurs, the worst hypothesis must be investigated. In this case, an alleged beating,” and they added that “this does not mean that until now there are elements to support that this is the main theory in this case.”

“Head injuries may be compatible with a fall in which he did not have enough time or reflexes to put his hands,” said an official source consulted by Chain 3 after noting that the victim’s relatives had declared that the man would have been intoxicated the last time they saw him, that is, before he began to return to the house where he lived.
