Burgos came to the crossroads of Moro’s sayings: There were no attacks

April 27, 2024 – 2:52 p.m.

In dialogue with Radio Ancasti, general secretary of the CGT Catamarca, Leonardo Burgos, referred to Gladys Moro’s accusations, and assured that leaders aligned with the Cegetista sector led by the head of APUNCA were not prevented from entering. He also denied that there were attacks during the ceremony in which he inaugurated the remodeling work that was carried out in the building on Tucumán and San Martín streets and anticipated that he will initiate legal action against Gladys Moro and Claudia Espeche (UPCN).

“They all entered without any problems. Gladys Moro was in the box with us, everyone was inside. When we were leaving, the member of the Court of Accounts union told me that he left me an invitation at the union to the event for the 50 years of the TC union. I said yes, with great pleasure. At that moment Héctor (Daer) came out and we left and I don’t know what happened there, if there was an argument I don’t know who with whom, but in no way were there attacks or anything. Maybe something minor happened and then Gladys took it as a complicated thing and she went out to say some things in the media,” said Burgos and included the general secretary of UPCN, Claudia Espeche.

Along these lines, he anticipated that Moro and Espeche will be summoned and assured that they do not belong to the local workers’ union because they “never” attended the CGT. “They never went to the CGT. They were never there; Now they wanted to go take a photo and they were inside and did everything,” said Burgos and specified that in these years they did not comply with the assistance or contributions for the union.

And he defended himself: “There is absolutely nothing that we have done by offending them, attacking them, or doing anything.” He anticipated that they will make “all appropriate complaints. We have all the videos. As I said, I haven’t seen anything in that encounter, but later I found out from the press and from my colleagues that this had happened. In any case, even though it happened, there is nothing serious.”

Next, he maintained that Gladys Moro must comply with the statute and regulations of the workers’ union. “There are statutes and regulations and she is going to have to answer for that,” she said. And he added: “There are also criminal and civil issues that will be handled by the colleagues she involves in this matter, and that have nothing to do with it.” “She was on the stage, behind me, and there were the colleagues who say we didn’t let them in,” she reiterated.

Finally, and asked if he was going to file legal actions against Moro and Espeche, Burgos responded: “Absolutely.” And he recalled the criminal case that he had with Moro when he accused him of gender violence. “I was admitted to the Allende sanatorium (Córdoba) when she said that I attacked her, I had only called her to tell her that we had the plenary session for which she says she never received an invitation (…) I made the complaint and she regretted it and apologized.”

“I have a clear conscience because everything that is done is done with the knowledge of all the leaders,” he concluded.
