San Luis Potosi is among the seven states that showed the most significant increase in incidence criminal that affects companies, according to information from México Evalúa and the International Center for Private Enterprise (CIEP).
In the document “Companies under fire, victimization and resilience of the business sector in Mexico” the two institutions explain that the purpose is to analyze the factors surrounding the phenomenon of victimization of the private sector in Mexico, along with its characteristics and economic effects
They point out that it is based on information from the biannual editions of the National Survey of Victimization of Companies carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), between 2012 and 2021.
The study found that, at the national level, between 2012 and 2017 there was a stable behavior of the delinquencywith a rate out of three thousand 505 out of every 10 thousand affected companies. Between 2019 and 2021, there were decreases below three thousand.
However, seven states did not follow that trend, presenting a incidence upward. Among them, the study located San Luis Potosi. The list is completed by Mexico City, Colima, Durango, Hidalgo, Sonora and Zacatecas
The state has one of the highest rates of impact on companies by the delinquencywith more than three thousand 500 cases per 10 thousand companies.
