The new generations, historically united to the struggles of our labor movement and the people, will say this 1st. of May. Their commitment, enthusiasm and creativity will spice up the celebration of International Workers’ Day, both at the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune in Havana – headquarters of the central event for the date – and at the concentrations in squares, towns and work centers of the various municipalities and provinces.
The Union of Young Communists (UJC) has called for this to proclaim to the world our inalienable decision to carry out this Martí, socialist and Fidelist nation project that we built in the midst of a complex economic scenario, Meyvis Estévez Echeverría, first secretary of the National Committee of the organization.
He added that the workers’ party is also the party of young people, of the family and of society as a whole, it is the party of a country that has the new generations as protagonists and, therefore, “we have the responsibility of going to the squares, streets and avenues to ratify—once again—our support for the Revolution and its leaders, as well as to give a forceful demonstration of unity.
The new pines will have the honor of opening or closing the parades that have been organized in many places, as well as being in the blocks that will represent each sector. That decision, as the youth leader expressed, is a faithful reflection of our actions in study, work and defense of the homeland.
«That the 1st. of May is filled with youth… that is what they have called us to do and we cannot fail, as
nor to the safe continuity of the Revolution. May the joy, the initiatives, the spirit, as well as the originality and strength of the messages distinguish us in every place where we celebrate the day of the world proletariat. And, more than assistance, let ours be a conscious participation, a sign of a real commitment to the colossal work that we will defend today and always,” he stated.
