The heavy rainfall recorded in the last hours in both Pereira and Dosquebradas, left in their wake emergencies in several sectors of both municipalities, including unroofing, flooding, overflowing of streams, falling trees and landslides.

Lieutenant Joaquín Ocampo, commander of the Official Fire Department of the industrial municipality, confirmed that the most affected neighborhoods were Japan, Valher, La Aurora, La Pradera, Gaitán Bajo and the Molinos path.

It was known that in the case of the neighborhood La Aurora, a total of 16 homes were floodedthis as a result of some works that are being carried out in the area, apparently by a public service company, and in the Molinos neighborhood five families ended up affected after the water entered the interior of their homes, damaging their belongings.

For his part, he reported Juan Camilo Ballesteros, director of the Official Fire Department of Pereira, that a flood was recorded in the Ormaza neighborhood, and they carried out assistance in Puente Gaitán and the Guayabal neighborhood due to reports of unstable terrain.

The community also reported damage due to flooding in the roundabout located in the lower part of the César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct, also on Avenida del Río, and Trees fell on the road that leads from the town of La Florida to the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal.
