During the operations, a significant amount of hallucinogenic drugs was seized that was ready to be sold by dose.
The actions being implemented by the Magdalena Police command led by Colonel Javier Duarte in the different municipalities of the department led to the capture and prosecution of 10 alleged dealers of hallucinogenic drugs.
Those implicated in the crime of possession, trafficking and distribution of narcotics remain under the custody of the Magdalena Sectional Attorney General’s Office.
The report from the authorities indicates that in one of the operations carried out in the municipality of Fundación, four men were arrested when they had the narcotic packaged in doses ready for distribution in their possession.
These were identified as Bálsimo Manuel Fontalvo Obregón, Jesús Adrián Vizcaíno Obregón, Alberto Rafael Beltrán Ortiz and Juan Carlos Tovar Contreras, who were apparently reported to the authorities by human sources who provided details of the location where they were arrested.
On the other hand, in the La Esperanza neighborhood of the municipality of Salamina, the brothers Luis and Juan Suárez were captured, who at that time were carrying marijuana, cocaine and coca base, in addition to various elements used for production.
Likewise, in one of the streets of the Villa Esperanza neighborhood of the Ariguani municipality, through a raid and search, Jorge Herrera, alias ‘El Negro’, 28 years old, was captured, who at the time of the investigation had marijuana and cocaine, packaged in doses ready for distribution.
“The articulated work between the different public forces and inter-institutional collaboration have been decisive in achieving these significant achievements in terms of security in the department of Magdalena,” said Duarte Reyes, commander of the Magdalena Police Department.
