Around noon this Sunday, April 28, the arrest warrant was issued against the 21-year-old man who is accused of hitting a beat a three year old child in a home in the municipality of Itagüí, in Antioquia.

Diego Torres, mayor of this town, confirmed that when requested, the alleged perpetrator had gone to a protection center where he spent the night, arguing that His life was in danger after the disclosure of the photos of his stepson who remains in a hospital in Medellín.

The commander of the Metropolitan Police, Colonel Oscar Lamprea, assured that “the National Police was informed by the care center (…) The child’s mother stated that when she arrived from work, “She found her son with evidence of signs of abuse and immediately transferred him.”

The authorities also confirmed that the captured person who will be investigated by the alleged crime of domestic violence, had a criminal record for possession of narcotics.

For now, no further details have been known about the minor’s health status, however, a series of videos have circulated in which Bruising and swelling of the child’s face and head are evident.
