Among them, the most affected are provincial route 26, which connects Caviahue with Copahue, as well as the access roads to the Pino Hachado International Pass and the border with Chile.

According to the latest report, issued this Monday morning, provincial route 26 is closed for an extension of 20 kilometers, between Caviahue and Copahue, due to the accumulation of snow on the road, on an unpaved road.

In turn, national route 242, which is paved, It is impassable in a 9-kilometer section, between the junction of provincial route 23 and the Pino Hachado international crossing. In this case, the interruption of travel occurred due to snowfall and strong winds that complicate transit through the area.

Regarding the International Pass, It was reported that Pino Hachado will be closed for the entire day due to the presence of strong white wind that complicates visibility.. In this way, travelers who wish to cross into Chile will have to opt for alternative border crossings.

From the provincial office they indicated thatThe Icalma pass is passable with caution through icy sectorsalthough it was recalled that the crossing between Argentina and Chile remains enabled this Monday.

As reported by the SMN, the alert is raised to Orange in part of the departments of Aluminé, Chos Malal, Locopué, Minas, Picunches, and Ñorquín. The phenomena could begin in the morning and extend throughout Monday, with greater intensity towards the afternoon. The snow, in the orange alert sectors, could reach an accumulation of between 50 and 60 cm.

Provincial Roads clarified that there are many routes that could be affected by weather conditions, although there is still no information on their traffic conditions. Among them are national route 22 that connects Cutral Co with Zapala and also route 40, from Chos Malal and towards the south. Access to Chapelco Hill, the La Rinconada area, the Las Lajas area and access to the Cardenal Samoré international pass could also be affected by weather phenomena, although no information was provided on the status of the routes.
